- The price of the STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan.
- Occupancy surcharges. Occupancy surcharges may result if the number of individuals occupying a room changes. For cancellations 30 or more days prior to scheduled departure, the remaining travelers are responsible for paying occupancy surcharges. For cancellations made less than 30 days prior to scheduled departure date, occupancy surcharges for the remaining travelers will be deducted from your refund.
- Miscellaneous fees and charges. Any fees or charges not directly related to your travel package such as reinstatement fees, change fees, etc.
Travel Guard Insurance
Trip Interruption (Up to $1,000):
Coverage for forfeited, nonrefundable, unused payments or deposits if you must interrupt your trip due to a covered reason.
Travel Delay (Up to $500):
Reimburses you up to $100 a day for reasonable additional expenses (i.e. meals & lodging) if you are delayed for more than 12 hours due to a covered reason.
Baggage & Personal Effects (Up to $500):
Reimburses you if your luggage is lost, damaged, or stolen while you are on your trip.
Baggage Delay (Up to $100):
Reimburses you for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed for more than 24 hours.
Medical Expenses (Up to $5,000):
Coverage for necessary medical expenses up to one year after a covered sickness or injury that occurs while on your trip.
Emergency Medical Transportation (Up to $10,000):
Coverage for evacuation and transportation expenses to the nearest adequate medical facility.
Terms
The STS Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Benefit provides you the right to cancel your trip for any reason up until 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time except for "no shows" and "no show" related cancellations ("no shows" include passengers who arrive at the airport or gate too late to travel or who fail to have the required proof of citizenship). Simply call 1-866-875-4565 no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled departure for Air/Hotel Packages and any time prior to initial check-in date for Hotel Only Packages (see below for additional details regarding how to file your claim). Your Benefit is effective once your travel package and the STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan are paid in full.
The following non-refundable costs, charges, exclusions, and deductions apply to your cancellation:
Trip Cancellation Claims — Contact STS Vacations at 1-866-875-4565. STS Vacations will then forward you the appropriate form that must be completed by you. This form must be received by STS Vacations within 21 days of your cancellation. Failure to contact STS Vacations will forfeit your plan reimbursement. Refunds for cancellations will be made in the same form as the original payment and will be reduced by the items outlined above. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours of receipt of completed and approved STS Vacations forms and/or documentation.
Payment of STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan — Your cancellation right is not effective until your travel package and the STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan is paid in full to STS. Under no circumstance can the STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan be added after you have made final payment for your travel package.
STSVacations provides the STS Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Benefit and this benefit is not part of the Travel Guard Travel Insurance effective on or after your departure date and offered by our designated provider; however, the same general exclusions and limitations of coverage apply. The STS Vacations Travel Protection Plan is non-transferable and must be repurchased if you want to have coverage on amended reservations. The Travel Protection Plan may not be added after trip has been paid for in full.
