Overview
This family-oriented resort offers 569 rooms in old world Spanish villa style decor nestled on a beautiful white sand beach with a clear view of Isla Mujeres. Built in 2002, it is comprised of a 14-story main building with a 5-story annex and lies in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone and just a short walk to the nightlife of the Party Center.
There is no limit to the choice of activities and entertainment options, including a popular sports bar, night club, and a theatre with Riu's famous theme shows. An international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner or three a la carte options for dinner, make your possibilities endless. There are three pools in all, one being an infinity pool, one for activities, and one with a swim-up bar and tables to enjoy your cocktails. The gym and fitness center offers a sauna and jacuzzi, while the spa offers an array of services to enjoy. The Children's Program here is top notch and allows parents some free time while children stay active.
The rooms here are simply decorated in a traditional Mexican style and are offered as either a junior suite or a standard room equipped with mini-bar, liquor dispenser, safety box and marble bathroom with tub and shower and his and hers sinks.
